Bamco is proud to be part of the renovation of the iconic One Times Square building, a 26-story tower at 1475 Broadway in Times Square and one of the most photographed buildings in all of New York City thanks to its position on the southern end of the Crossroads of The World, and due to its use for the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop. Designed by S9 Architecture and developed by Jamestown with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, AECOM Tishman is the general contractor, the project will bring a $500 million 21st-century facelift to the 395-foot-tall trapezoidal-shaped structure, incorporating an all-new BAMCO solid aluminum plate façade, new LED displays, and an outdoor platform.
BAMCO will be fabricating approximately 60,000 square feet of our D-500 Rainscreen system utilizing Alfrex solid aluminum plate sheet and custom “fin” extrusions. 10,000 square feet of material will be installed by BAMCO whilst 50,000 square feet will be unitized by Erie Architectural Products in Windsor, ON CA, and installed by W&W Glass.
